Flesh, Being Civilised and the Hierarchy of Experience

by Niall Lambkin last modified Aug 12, 2008 11:29 PM

This paper has been written as a 'real argument' designed to provoke a reaction. It is initially discussed at some length (45 - 60 minutes)in a formal meeting [the paper having being read to the audience of sixth form Philosophy and Criticial Thinkers]. Later the paper is analysed more closely (in the classroom). It may be reduced to its logical form and then analysed and evaluated in the usual way, looking at the facts presented, claims made, explanations given, descriptions, fallacies, rhetoric used etc. The exercise is thorough and aimed at high level students.
