Oxymoronica

Oxymoron, paradox This is the website, and also the title of a book I once found and enjoy dipping into. It is a collection of oxymorons from history, literature and politics. Examples: Man alone suffers so excruciatingly in the world that he was compelled to invent laughter. – F Nietzche Writing came easy—it would only get hard when I got better at it. – Gary Wills Applications include: communities of inquiry, introducing lessons, debates, constructing arguments for & against, generating examples (or exceptions).
